Very interesting. Nice use of sounds!

The song definitely creates an interesting atmosphere, with plenty of unique, monotonous sounds and noises. The image I get in my head is standing on a white balcony, on a huge world so far outside of the boundaries of space... where time is somehow 15 years late. On that balcony, I watch an image of myself from behind. The image stands on a white balcony at the Blue Hour, staring down an endless path, lined by endless gardens. The balcony, the path, and the gardens are the only things on this flattened world that are actually there. The image of myself is only an apparition of where I stood 1 long year ago... on that balcony. Next year, I'll see an appartion of where I currently stand. The wind constantly blows and howls like a tornado, yet there's not a storm in sight. The temperature feels cold, and has the same sensation of being frostbitten... yet the feeling is almost cozy. Despite the stagnancy of this world, I feel like I've landed on the world where all of mankind's imagination gathers. I feel like, on this world, I can find anything I want to. I feel like I can find things from the past that no longer exist. I feel like I can go back in time and observe how mankind progressed in that age. I feel like I haven't unlocked the world's potential, no matter how empty it seems.

I feel timeless.

Anyway, I enjoyed the song! I like the feel of it, and I had a lot of fun creating the images in my head along with the song. Great work, buddy. :D Can't wait for your new album!

Awesome imagery man! The whole "timeless" theme is something that seems to be present in many of my tracks, simply because the feeling of isolation seems to feel "dark" and "endless" to where everything seems "unkown" and "forever", making time non-exsistant. Trippy stuff haha ;)

Hm... this is kind of neat.

I really like the piano in the beginning and at the end, along with the sound of the pouring rain. Also, at around 1:38 or so, I the style change was pretty cool. :)

The only parts I don't really like were, first off, how quickly everything faded out at 4:16. Second, the switch from styles right in the middle of the song was a little strange, and could've used some more progression between styles. Other than those, it's a neat experimental sounding track!

RealCharacter responds:

yeah I updated it and forgot to export the song so I'll fix it and post later next week.

Great sound! I'm liking this a lot.

Great stuff going on here! It's very complex sounding and very flowing. The breathing was a nice touch: it feels as if those breathes are your last breaths. This song is a great canvas to open up your imagination on. Your thoughts can just easily flow and paint pictures of wherever the music takes you.
Given the title name, and though the implied theme is about dying, I imagine myself floating in space, looking at the only thing in sight: an eclipsed moon, orbiting a galaxy of no stars.

What would've gone great with this, in my opinion, would've been a quiet string section, but used very sparingly to add some unique touchs of flair. That would've just been awesome.

It's fantastic by itself, but it would also go great in a large, lonely adventure game.

Excellent work man! :D Faved.

I have always wanted to see my music featured in a giant, lonely adventure game. It would be really cool. I don't actually intend for everyone to have the same basic feeling about my music, but I just point out in the authors comments that this song, in my opinion, makes me imagine a guy experiencing the last 5 seconds of his life in the emergency room, drawn out into 8 minutes of the unknown.

Studio Pixel would be proud. Or Team 9.

I think my head exploded from sheer epicosity.

*Checks for head*

Yeah, I guess it did.

This matches Cave Story perfectly! It's just as incredible and just as hardcore.
This is one of the best remixes I've ever heard for any game- let alone anything, really. If you ask me this would've been great for the Wii port. This deserves a 10/10!

rtnario responds:

First off, I'm sorry. LOL

Second, I'm glad you think so! There are many remixes for this song though, even in the same style, so thanks for liking this one out of them all. :) Hmm, if the Wii port used MP3s it would've been very different though...

It's beautiful... and haunting.

Newgrounds really needs more good ambient tracks like this. This is a prime example. It's amazing... like looking down at the world from the top of a mountain.

This isn't really a critisism, but I would've called the track "Cloud 9". It's not that I don't like "Breathe with me" because, in fact, the name fits great with track. I just personally think Cloud 9 seems slightly more fitting. :) Just an opinion, is all!

I thoroughly enjoyed this and would be delusional not to fave. So... faved!

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

I actually have been constantly bothered by the track name lol, because most would interpret the word "me" as... well me, the creator. That seems a bit weird lol. Cloud 9 is a band isn't it? I better decide weither to change the name or not soon before the system locks me out of editing this track. :P
